Jason Petty has made a striking impression on New York's Theatre District, starring in 'Hank Williams: Lost Highway," which played to sold out audiences at the Little Shubert Theater. Audiences and critics alike were taken back by Petty's amazing acting ability in his portrayal of Hank Williams.

He won rave reviews from all the major critics, including the New York Times, Variety and Rolling Stone. The NY Post stated it best, "At times it seems as if Petty is not just offering an impersonation of Williams, but channeling his ghost." Another sign of recognition for Petty's brilliant performance of Hank Williams was being honored with an Obie Award for "Outstanding Actor".

This veteran actor and singer has performed in theatres across the United States, Canada and Europe. Petty began portraying the country music legend, Hank Williams, in 1996 at the world famous Ryman Auditorium in Nashville Tennessee. Since that time, Petty appeared in national tours of "Lost Highway" and "Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes", a musical revue which Petty authored and starred in.

His acting ability has afforded Petty roles in film, television and theatre. His musicianship and song writing abilities have won him numerous performances on The Grand Ole Opry, and the honor of being invited to perform with the most distinguished songwriters and producers at the exclusive Blue Bird Café in Nashville.

This University of Tennessee graduate was born and raised in Manchester, TN. He spent his summers growing up on his grandmother's farm in Primm Springs, TN, the farm still remains his favorite place on earth. His father and grandmother influenced his early musical preferences. Jason's earliest memories are of his grandmother, Fannie Mayberry, singing gospel songs around the farm while she worked, and his dad, Jim Petty singing Hank Williams' hit song, "Hey Good Lookin'" to him when he was just a boy.

Petty began his career 50 miles from the farm at Nashville's Opryland music park. Performing four shows a day, seven days a week, Petty caught the attention of the director of an upcoming musical at the Ryman Auditorium. He was hand-picked for the starring role in "Hank Williams: Lost Highway", and it led him straight for the stage, where he has been ever since.

Now Jason enjoys his success with his beautiful wife, Hope. They were married in 2002 at Graceland Mansion, home of Elvis Presley.

Jason now tackles the world of entertainment from Nashville to New York and Branson to LA with Hope by his side. As Jason says, "It's not the destination in life that counts, it's the journey. My wife and I await our next adventure." Only time will tell what new adventures they will find.
